As many LGBTQ venues close due to a changing scene, the internet and now Covid 19 - never to re open - SUPPORT THE ONES WHO ARE STILL IN BUSINESS as when they go, there will be no LGBTQ venues and just the boring homogenized venues who BY LAW must accept your bookings but are NOT LGBT. ROOM 7 - HARMONY
This was our Dorm Room for 4 sharing and was a very popular room with its own Shower Room en suite.
However - It is now a DOUBLE SUITE - with Digital TV - Totally redecorated and carpeted, given a complete ' make over' with new window blinds and Black Out Blinds to keep the morning sun out if you wish to sleep in. It has a wide screen TV and is the only room to have a TV unless you wished to move in for a min of 3 months then an ' In Room TV ' is offered into Room 2 and 3.

I doubt you have any idea how valuable your place is to me. Three times a year, my son tells me it is time for me to visit John ( you ) as he sees the difference in me when I return, every time. He says it is as if someone has liften all the stress away and when a relative died recently, even he agreed I needed a few days with you - to chat and share and cheer.
Don't ever close John, many - like me - adore / need / value what you offer and those who do not, are in need of something more medical.
Keep it up John, absolutely love you mate.

I've just had a wonderful 10 day stay at Hamilton Hall and yet again, it has totally rejuvenated my body, my mind and my soul. The facilities and welcome that you receive here are second to none; as is the sage-like advise and love from its genial host, John. The relaxed atmosphere gives you the impression that you are actually staying in a home not a hotel and as usual it is always a bind to leave. John, Robert and Missie, I thank you profusely for the wonderful time I had with you and all of my new friends. I look forward to my next stay.

I very nervously booked to stay at the Hamilton Hall to help me with my transition from a married man to a gay man and boy this was the right place to do it!. I arrived on Friday 05/06/2015 as it was my birthday the next day and did not know what to expect but after a couple of hours and meeting John & Robert and the other guests I felt very much at home and made friends with the guys straight away. I just took things easy and at my own pace as there was no pressure from anybody you just did as you pleased.
I was extremely happy with the quality and cleanliness of my room (Single) and the bed and pillows were so comfy I didn't have any problems sleeping which I normally do when in a strange bed. I just can't wait to go again as I enjoyed my stay very much indeed thanks to John & Robert.
I especially liked the way you could help yourself to drinks 24/7 and didn't have to keep asking for more supplies as when your making drinks in your room as other hotels. John is a great character and enjoyed hearing about his previous life prior to becoming an hotelier. Looking forward to seeing you again soon John

You can see how John has plowed his heart and soul into making this place something a little different. I have visited a few times now and it doesn't feel like a hotel, feels more like you are stopping with family. John makes you feel so at home from the moment you arrive. He is an amazing host and has such a collection of colourful stories to tell, there is never a dull moment. Robert is a star too and nothing is too much trouble. John drove me to the beach one day and also dropped me off at the train station. Can't recommend Hamilton Hall enough, if you are looking for a relaxing break with some great company in a super relaxed environment, in a beautiful part of the world, then look no further.

What can I say, John is a fantastic host always wants to please his guests nothing to much for him, a lovely lovely man.
My stay for the Chill Out Weekend June 5th 2015 - Friday to Sunday was fantastic, a real chill out, just what I needed. The bedroom number 3 was excellent, very spacious, very clean and the bed was sooo comfortable. Shower was really nice. If your thinking of coming here book it now you won't be disappointed it really is superb.

You are not restricted to your bedroom and you are welcome to enjoy the Lounge - Dining / Community Room - TV Room - Conservatory and the small garden at any time of the day or night.
With cushions and lots of soft lighting as well as reading lights, to help create just the right atmosphere, and with iPod chargers and where you can play your own music, and with a wonderful aura of peace and calm of a private home and not an anonymous and cheerless venue, you really do feel you are seomwhere special.
We have over 60 different hot and cold refreshments with biscuits, cakes, fruit and even juices - just help yourself 24/7 and all free of charge.
Bring whatever helps you relax ;- your bunny slippers, knitting, herbal remedies, smokes, puzzle books, lap top. ( free WIFI throughout )

Some of the 'gay friendly' guest houses, no one lives there, it is just an investment property with an income and the atmosphere is cold and cheerless - unlike Hamilton Hall.
BRINGING SOMEONE BACK FROM A BAR
You are welcome to have an overnight guest visit you in your room. If they stay overnight we ask for £10 to cover breakfast and showers etc. If the same guest stays a second night, then this will be seen as a double booking and an extra person charge may be made for all nights stayed. We do not judge your actions and, actually - damned good luck to you.
We do ask that you take responsibility for your guest and do not let them 'see themselves out' or wonder around the hotel unnacompanied. For safety and security, you will be held liable and responsible. If we find strangers wondering around Hamilton Hall and you have left your guest unaccompanied, you will be made aware of the dangers involved and any extra security staff will be charged for. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE.
Any damages are to be paid for. Accidents happen but stupidity and carelessness is stupid carlessness.

CONSIDERABLY CHEAPER THAN SIMILAR HOTELS BUT WITH A VAST AMOUNTS OF FREE EXTRAS AND BETTER ROOMS
If you look through many of the hotels listed under
GAY BOURNEMOUTH's WEB SITE you will see bedrooms decorated with frills and chintz - with dreadful decor and tasteless bedding and it looks as if you are staying with an aged Aunt and not in some contemporary hotel, and I find many of the rooms found in these venues to be - plainly - tasteless and unappealing. Rooms named 'Liza' - 'Dorothy' - or 'Marilyn' - are so old fashioned and we expect better these days.
Hamilton Hall's rooms really are stylish and contemporary
with traditional comforts and are large and airy.
Hamilton Hall chooses not to buy into the star rating system as it really is a complete waste of time.

Any little presents left for us are for you to clean up and any damage caused is to be paid for.
Going away and having to leave your pet in kennels or with a friend can be a hard thing to do and we welcome your dog and there are many truly beautiful places to exercise them in the area.. If well behaved, we can dog sit of an evening so you can go out. You sure as hell wouldn't get that kind of service anywhere else.
We do our research. We visit other venues. We watch various TV programmes about hotels and B&B's and we pay attention to what is required and what is desired. We appreciate being away from home and how cheerless many venues are and that is why Hamilton Hall offers better bedrooms than anywhere else for the money.

I was one of the newscrews filming at your venue recently and WOW was the only thing I could think when I first entered Room 3 - I really was not expecting something as luxurious. As a reporter for an international news channel going all over the world, I get to stay at quite a lot of small hotels and guest houses and Hamilton Hall was the tops.

My own brother recently said how lovely the bedrooms were when I hosted a wedding for his daughter - my niece - and where they took over the venue for a couple of days. He was really very impressed.
