The UK’s oldest living drag queen has died
Maisie Trollette came up in Brighton "when anything went."
David Raven, the man behind Maisie Trollette, the United Kingdom’s oldest performing drag queen, has died in Brighton, England. He was 91.
Trollette was a fixture on seaside Brighton’s drag scene for more than five decades, and a centerpiece of Brighton Pride from the first time it was held in 1973.

Following the horrific attack by Donald Trump and J.D. Vance on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in the Oval Office on live television, we, the people, can proclaim: “February 28th, 2025, a date which will live in infamy.”

Trump reposts Nazi-era gay symbol
The pink triangle represented imprisonment and death for gay men in Nazi Germany.
Over the weekend, President Trump reposted an article to his Truth Social account with the image of a pink triangle, a symbol used during the Holocaust to identify gay men in Nazi concentration camps.
The triangle was overlaid with a red circle and a line through it, suggesting “gays not allowed.”

President Trump likens himself as a champion of free speech but this list contradicts that notion.

Memos from the administration of President Donald Trump, revealed last Friday by the New York Times (NYT), have flagged over 100 words that government agencies should limit or avoid. The Times compiled a full list of the terms from government memos, official and unofficial agency guidances, and other documents.
The list contains mostly inoffensive phrases and terms, including “black,” “women,” and “political.” The list itself is most likely incomplete, as more agency memos may exist other than the ones already discovered by NYT reporters. It isn’t a complete list, but a common theme among the terms listed is that they all relate to diversity and GOP pain points, such as “clean energy” or “injustice.”

“This mood among the youth of Britain was in stark contrast with young people in Germany, 3 million of whom joined Hitler's Sturmabteilung (SA), the Nazis' paramilitary wing, by the end of 1933. Festering resentment towards established political leaders and financial hardship drove the young people of Germany to radical alternatives. Hitler promised them strong leadership and a national rebirth, which were particularly appealing to that disaffected generation, and many undertook direct action as a result.
Something to lighten the mood:
A newlywed couple were caught getting frisky in the cloak room at church. The pastor told them if they could not learn to control themselves they would have to leave. As a test they were instructed to abstain from relations for one week.
The following Sunday the pastor asked if they succeeded. The man said, “I’m sorry we could not. We refrained until Friday but when I saw her bent over in front of the freezer I was so overcome by my passion that I took her on the floor right in front of it.
“I’m sorry my son, you clearly love your wife but we cannot have you in this church.” the pastor exclaimed.
“We understand,” the man replied. “They don’t want us back at the grocery store either.”
