A Gay in a Manger & funnies
Seems someone complained about this sweater and it got withdrawn from the market as some Christian group complained. I think that Jesus would laugh his head off and see the funny side of things, as I DO NOT BELIEVE that - if he existed at all, Jesus was such a tight ass as so many modern Christians are - you know - with a stick up their ass, and that God and Jesus have the best sense of humour. After all, lets look at some of the facts.
Jesus hung around with a ton of other men.
While I appreciate this was the culture at the time, women knew their places - in the home washing , cooking and raising children while the men did - whatever it is that men did - and men naturally migrated towards other men as the women migrated towards other women, not sexual, not gay or lesbian - although many gay relationships would have been quite acceptable and there are even gay stories hidden in the Bible - but it is scared little boys / men who edited and manipulated Biblical writings into what we perceive the be the 'Word of God' - the Bible, and is full of their own insecurities, fears, doubts and we have been told this is how God sees things, which is complete and utter bollocks. It is how a load of fucked up monks and priests saw things from their own fucked up viewpoint and massively edited writings to coincide with THEIR beliefs and THEIR viewpoint and NOT the word of God at all. Period.
And still the church and their manipulative views get things like this sweater banned and is no longer available as someone - somewhere - was offended.
Tough shit.

In 1933 Marlene Dietrich was on the SS Europa ocean liner headed to Paris. During the crossing the diva wore a white pantsuit and when the Paris police chief found out he declared that if she showed up in trousers in Paris she would be arrested. It was not a joke: since 17 November 1800, there had been a law in French law that prohibited women from “dressing like men” and in particular from wearing trousers. At the beginning of the 20th century, an exemption had been introduced for women who needed to ride a bicycle or horse, but that rule was definitively abolished only on 31 January 2013, by decision of the then Minister for Women's Rights, Najat Vallaud-Belkacem.
However, Dietrich accepted the challenge, from Cherbourg she chose to arrive in Paris wearing a tweed suit, with a tie, a man's coat and sunglasses. She got off the train and walked away from the platform with a policeman on her arm. And she was not arrested. The photo shows her arrival at the Gare Saint-Lazare in Paris.
