As I drove him home, he sat quietly. When we arrived, he invited me inside to meet his family. As we walked to the front door, he paused briefly by a small tree, touching the tips of its branches with both hands.

When he opened the door, he underwent a startling transformation. His face lit up with smiles, he hugged his two children, and kissed his wife.

He then walked me to my car. We drove by the tree, and my curiosity got the better of me. I asked him what he had done before.

“Oh, that’s my trouble tree,” he replied. "I know I can't help having problems at work, but one thing is for sure, those problems don't belong at home with my wife and kids. So I hang them on the tree every night when I get home and ask God to take care of them. Then in the morning I pick them up."
