Is Donald Trump a 'nice guy'?

Hi John and thanks for your piece this week on 'Is Donald Trump Stupid ?' Loved it. Read it and laughed several times. Thought you might like this piece attached that I found online. In so few words the author has caught him brilliantly. Chris F.

John: Clearly as you stated last week, you area better - if smaller - business man than Trump and like millions of small business people who have never gone bankrupt, you are not alone. J. Balentyne.

JB Says:-

I also had so many e mails concerning last weeks article on Trump and all supported the same view, how dangerous and like Hitler he appears. If you don't like these views - then go to another page - go to the cock page and have a wank. It really is that simple. If you wish to defend against anything in this newsletter, e mail me something to share with our readers and share your viewpoint and be brave enough to put your name to the piece, nothing anonymous thankyou as in myu opinion we shall all ignore. It's a free country - kind of - although people are being jailed in the UK for speaking up and having an opinion, so IS FREEDOM OF SPEECH UNDER THREAT IN THE UK ? So far I have not had a single email countering what has been said about Trump.

Trump is a master of every vice, a sickening waste of space with zero compassion or empathy. He’s a liar and a cheat so deep in his deceit that he treats dishonesty like it's some twisted moral code. A cowardly, violent bastard who can only order others to do his dirty work. His grotesque appearance matches his graceless, pathetic existence, and his wounded, bloated ego is so suffocating that it drowns out any shred of decency. He’s a traitor—betraying not just his country but every ally he’s ever had—and he reeks of racism and contempt for women. This walking disgrace has no shame, no self-awareness, no morality, just a rotting soul.

And that’s your hero, the piece of trash you worship and throw your money at. He makes me ashamed to be an American. The man you lift up, whose banner you blindly follow. Why? Because he's a reflection of your own mess. He’s the monster you would be if you’d inherited money and could abandon every last ounce of decency and shame.

No, I don't respect your “choices” or admire your blind loyalty to this nightmare of a human being. You've shown nothing but utter disregard for civic duty, loyalty to the Republic, or the rule of law. You’ve actively incited violence and sedition at his bidding. And you'll never, ever admit you were wrong.

Because in him, you see your ugly, twisted, resentful fantasies. Renouncing him would be admitting you’ve been wrong about everything. And you can’t face that.

From an American

The sorest winner of all time…Donald Trump, won the election, but still resents the votes Kamala got…he still claims she didn’t get those votes, that there was cheating. Yes, there was cheating, but it was the Retrumplicans that did the cheating.

However he won, by fair means or foul, with Elons money, and throwing out of votes for shonky reasons…he won. But still he’s as miserable as sin that he didn’t win by much, so Dems were still cheating.

BTW, while Trump was golfing, signing stupid executive orders, and posting psychotic statements all night, Kamala was at ground Zero in California, thanking firefighters and other responders to the wildfires.

What a pity, America, you had the choice to have a decent human being as President. She isn’t perfect, but she is not the vindictive toddler who is in charge now. She would not have made America look silly, she would not have alienated allies, and she sure as hell would not have abandoned Ukraine, or dismantled all the things Trump and Musk have .

-----------------------------------

He was the CEO of The Ratner Group, a collection of companies spearheaded by Ratners, a jewellery chain (pun unintended).

He was giving a speech to the Institute of Directors when he uttered this immortal sentence, of Ratners’ products:

People say, "How can you sell this for such a low price?": I say, "because it's total crap."

It was widely reported and the company was sunk.

Customers wouldn't gift their products to their nearest and dearest, because who wants to gift “total crap”?

So…let's discuss Elon Musk.

Apart from being generally toxic of late, simply allying himself with Trump was not well received in Europe, where, to say the least, Trump is not liked. Well, outside the ultra-right-wing parties like France’s Front Nationale or Germany’s AfD.

Yes, that's a Nazi salute. And, just to be sure everyone got the message, he turned 180⁰ and repeated it to the crowd behind him.

You wonder why Tesla sales in Germany alone tanked by 60%?

It's actually illegal to do that salute in Germany, and other places. Europeans have long memories, and hold grudges.

When your product becomes known as the Swastikar, you've got a big problem.

The Ratner Group eventually dumped Gerald Ratner and renamed. It survived — just.

Tesla may wish to learn a lesson there.

-----------------------------------

Trump’s administration effectively already announced it today.

There are no 2 ways to read into it — the U.S. as the bastion of freedom and democracy has fallen.

Trump’s U.S.A. sides with North Korea, Belarus, and Russia against the European democracies.

The UN has adopted Ukraine’s resolution condemning Russia’s aggression and demanding the immediate withdrawal of the Russian forces, marking the war’s 3rd anniversary.

93 votes in favor.18 votes against.

Even Cuba abstained on the resolution denouncing Russia's invasion of Ukraine today at the UN that the US voted against — along with Russia, Belarus, North Korea, Sudan, and other rogue states. Must be utterly humiliating for Rubio.

In fact, the US just declared that it’s no longer leader of the free world, aligning itself with the aggressor state led by a murderous dictator who poisons, tortures, and kills his political opponents, and who unleashed the largest 21st century war in Europe, striving to erase a whole nation — much like Adolf Hitler did in 1930s.

It’s one of the most shocking foreign policy U-turns for a major political power.

Trump and his administration have drawn the line in the sand. It cannot be any clearer. Trump stands with a murderous dictator Putin.

The U.S. could have simply abstained — instead, they deliberately chose to vote with Russia and the axis of evil.

When asked to explain why the U.S. chose to vote with Russia, Trump said, “It’s self-evident, I think.”

Yes, it certainly is.

It’s no longer just wildly thrown around statements. Such actions don’t leave much room for interpretation.

-------------------------------

I worked as a flight attendant during his 1st term regularly traveling to Europe and Asia. I currently still travel frequently to Europe.

The Europeans, Japanese, and Chinese I interact with do not laugh at Trump supporters - they laugh at Trump himself and they are appalled by him. To say they do not like him is an understatement.

British writer, Nate White, explains why his country does not like Trump in a scathing description of the man. His description should make patently clear how Trump is viewed in the UK.

👇🏽

“A few things spring to mind. Trump lacks certain qualities which the British traditionally esteem. For instance, he has no class, no charm, no coolness, no credibility, no compassion, no wit, no warmth, no wisdom, no subtlety, no sensitivity, no self-awareness, no humility, no honour and no grace – all qualities, funnily enough, with which his predecessor Mr. Obama was generously blessed. So for us, the stark contrast does rather throw Trump’s limitations into embarrassingly sharp relief.

Plus, we like a laugh. And while Trump may be laughable, he has never once said anything wry, witty or even faintly amusing – not once, ever. I don’t say that rhetorically, I mean it quite literally: not once, not ever. And that fact is particularly disturbing to the British sensibility – for us, to lack humour is almost inhuman. But with Trump, it’s a fact. He doesn’t even seem to understand what a joke is – his idea of a joke is a crass comment, an illiterate insult, a casual act of cruelty.

Trump is a troll. And like all trolls, he is never funny and he never laughs; he only crows or jeers. And scarily, he doesn’t just talk in crude, witless insults – he actually thinks in them. His mind is a simple bot-like algorithm of petty prejudices and knee-jerk nastiness.

There is never any under-layer of irony, complexity, nuance or depth. It’s all surface. Some Americans might see this as refreshingly upfront. Well, we don’t. We see it as having no inner world, no soul. And in Britain we traditionally side with David, not Goliath. All our heroes are plucky underdogs: Robin Hood, Dick Whittington, Oliver Twist. Trump is neither plucky, nor an underdog. He is the exact opposite of that. He’s not even a spoiled rich-boy, or a greedy fat-cat. He’s more a fat white slug. A Jabba the Hutt of privilege.

And worse, he is that most unforgivable of all things to the British: a bully. That is, except when he is among bullies; then he suddenly transforms into a snivelling sidekick instead. There are unspoken rules to this stuff – the Queensberry rules of basic decency – and he breaks them all. He punches downwards – which a gentleman should, would, could never do – and every blow he aims is below the belt. He particularly likes to kick the vulnerable or voiceless – and he kicks them when they are down.

So the fact that a significant minority – perhaps a third – of Americans look at what he does, listen to what he says, and then think ‘Yeah, he seems like my kind of guy’ is a matter of some confusion and no little distress to British people, given that:• Americans are supposed to be nicer than us, and mostly are.• You don’t need a particularly keen eye for detail to spot a few flaws in the man.

This last point is what especially confuses and dismays British people, and many other people too; his faults seem pretty bloody hard to miss. After all, it’s impossible to read a single tweet, or hear him speak a sentence or two, without staring deep into the abyss. He turns being artless into an art form; he is a Picasso of pettiness; a Shakespeare of shit. His faults are fractal: even his flaws have flaws, and so on ad infinitum. God knows there have always been stupid people in the world, and plenty of nasty people too. But rarely has stupidity been so nasty, or nastiness so stupid. He makes Nixon look trustworthy and George W look smart. In fact, if Frankenstein decided to make a monster assembled entirely from human flaws – he would make a Trump.

And a remorseful Doctor Frankenstein would clutch out big clumpfuls of hair and scream in anguish: ‘My God… what… have… I… created?' If being a twat was a TV show, Trump would be the boxed set.”

Enough said.
