Is the US being laughed at?

No it’s not.
It’s being detested,
loathed,
isolated,
avoided,
and watched at in horror.
It is now seen as a country in terminal decline into oblivion.
A country so full of itself that it cannot see its own ignorance.
A country that cannot be counted on to do the right thing and lead the free world. A country that is to be worked around rather than worked with.
=
A country that has lost all its right to lecture the world on democracy and freedom. A country where honesty, truth, and integrity no longer matter.
Very soon, people outside the US will no longer miss us and our leadership, for whatever it was worth. They will be happy to see us go. We will be classified in the same ranks as Russia, North Korea, and Iran—authoritarian pariah states that are a drag on humanity.
The rest of the world will pass us by and perhaps build stronger alliances to shield against us and drive humanity forward.
The America we knew of as kids is now gone for good.

Even after Trump is gone, the authoritarian trend will remain.
It gives me no pleasure to say this, but I don’t see this country recovering anytime soon and I think it deserves all of what’s coming at it.
The US is a sad joke.

I'm leaving America,
get me the hell out of here.
America is shooting itself in the foot time and time again and never looking to see who is pulling the trigger. It does seem to be in self destruct mode.
I have lived for more than 40 years in California and now feel the time is right to return to the UK as I cannot, in all honesty, stay in a country that is slowly imploding and taking itself and its people down the toilet pan. America is loosing any credibility and power it once had with one sweep of Mr. Trumps hands and all - ALL - the world is watching the mess, the spiralling out of control,. the shambles in the White House and the absolute destruction of all our major corporations and manufacturing, as this Mr. Orange seems to think he is the best thing for American Business when he most certaily is not. He is the cause of a global recession and where - as we can all see - he plunders the coffers of the country for his own gain.
I have my house on the market and have made an offer on a place in the UK and shall soon return and am just glad I never gave up my UK Pasport and shall now give up my Amerian passport as I am ashamed, absolutely ashamed, at what the USA are doing on a global scale.

Nope. Not in the least.
Just a bit of a physical heavyweight.

Here is Donald Trump’s intellectual ability, on full display. This is unedited, word-for-word, from one of his infamous “rally” speeches:=

“Look, having nuclear — my uncle was a great professor and scientist and engineer, Dr. John Trump at MIT; good genes, very good genes, okay, very smart, the Wharton School of Finance, very good, very smart — you know, if you’re a conservative Republican, if I were a liberal, if, like, okay, if I ran as a liberal Democrat, they would say I'm one of the smartest people anywhere in the world — it’s true! — but when you're a conservative Republican they try — oh, do they do a number — that’s why I always start off: Went to Wharton, was a good student, went there, went there, did this, built a fortune — you know I have to give my like credentials all the time, because we’re a little disadvantaged — but you look at the nuclear deal, the thing that really bothers me — it would have been so easy, and it’s not as important as these lives are (nuclear is powerful; my uncle explained that to me many, many years ago, the power and that was 35 years ago; he would explain the power of what's going to happen and he was right — who would have thought?), but when you look at what's going on with the four prisoners — now it used to be three, now it’s four — but when it was three and even now, I would have said it's all in the messenger; fellas, and it is fellas because, you know, they don't, they haven’t figured that the women are smarter right now than the men, so, you know, it’s gonna take them about another 150 years — but the Persians are great negotiators, the Iranians are great negotiators, so, and they, they just killed, they just killed us.” [-Donald Trump]

When are these Americans, who repeatedly ask these dumb foolish questions, ever going to learn, THEY DO NOT RULE THE WORLD. THEY HAVE NO CONTROL OVER CANADA AT ALL. WHEN WILL THEY START TO SHOW SOME COMMON SENSE AND STOP ASKING THESE DUMB STUPID QUESTIONS.
Here’s food for thought: do you know why Trump paused the tariffs? A handful of our traditional allies (including Canada) got together and hatched a plan to slowly sell off the US Treasury securities they hold (that’s a large chunk of our federal debt) until enough people squealed to make Trump relent and revoke his tariffs.
Other nations hold over $8,000,000,000,000 of our federal debt.
Yup. $8 Trillion.
( ACTUALLY CLOSER TO $35 TRILLION AND NOT 8.)
Massive sell-off of foreign government-held treasury bonds makes interest rates shoot up. Interest on consumer loans, credit cards, mortgages, and car financing jump higher. The companies who require business loans either pass those increased interest rates on by jacking prices to the consumer, or they start cutting jobs. Can you imagine even more people hunting for limited jobs, on top of those who have been fired from federal jobs, or “downsized” from manufacturing jobs that rely on parts manufactured in China. (Remember, Trump levied a 245% tariff on China, and China isn’t caving to his bullying, they’re fighting. Keep an eye out. Everything from small mom-and-pop shops to national store chains will crumble and fail, bringing more unemployed people into the shrinking job market.)

The US dollar is the world’s most widely used reserve currency. At last check, about 60% of global central bank currency reserves are held in US dollars. Thanks to Trump’s interference, trust in the strength of the dollar is failing globally. This means much of our federal debt can come home to roost as the countries we’re bullying sell off their stash of US bonds, leading to hyperinflation where Everything, even basic food, becomes very expensive.
So do you really want to use the kind of pressure on Canada, our longtime friends, that we traditionally reserve for enemies like Iran, knowing the Canadians can make us hurt worse?
If your answer is yes, you’re far more stupid than I thought and deserve all that befalls you.

Oh, I’m sorry, are we at war with China?
I must have missed that.
Last I looked, the US so-called president decided to start a trade war with the entire world because he is convinced, in the fetid swamp that is his mind, that the entire world is ripping America off for selling us what we want to buy.
So Trump’s at war with the world. No friends, just rivals each exploiting the poor, vulnerable United States of America, the richest, most powerful country in the history of the world. The only problem with this analysis is that it’s so obviously risible, but of course Trump doesn’t have a sense of humor.
Trump essentially priced Chinese imports out of the US market, not realizing, of course, that he simply dramatically increased the prices that Americans will pay for any goods and manufacturing components that we have to import, so the Chinese decided to play along and slap tariffs on American exports.
Nothing wrong with that. That the Australians chose to exploit the surrender of the Chinese market by their American competitors is simply good business, and as Trump has declared by his actions that America has no friends but only trading partners who have been ripping us off, I find it amusing that anyone would accuse the Australians of taking anyone’s side by simply selling beef to consumers anywhere in the world who want it.
As to the punitive aspects of tariffs, when you slap tariffs on every country on the planet, all you are doing is penalizing the American consumer.
But you have to study macroeconomics to understand that. I get that’s beyond the typical MAGAt, but really, there are billionaires in the Trump administration who really know that.
That they are refusing to say out loud what anyone with half a brain already knows to be true is one of the great tragedies of the final Trump so-called administration: that people could have tried to rein him in and make him see sense, but refused.
Then again, he’s far too fucking stupid to see sense, and he clearly can’t be educated.
So no, Australia didn’t choose sides, and America already imposed tariffs on Australia, so the American beef industry is just going to have to swallow the loss and hopefully some of those dumb shit Americans will learn some truthful facts about how business works.
Too bad they didn’t realize any of this, before they supported Trump again.
Too bad for all of us.

And another hysterically funny question from noted Russian troll Danski Smithski.
It’s hard to stop laughing at a question so inane and so insane. But I’ll try, briefly.
Look, Trump is a loser. His Klansman daddy warned him never to be a loser, but that’s all he is. He whines and complains and desperately seeks out the attention of those he knows have superior intellectual and moral powers to his, but that’s the way it is: He knows that he is the intellectual inferior of Prime Minister Carney. He knows that King Charles is infinitely more respected throughout the world. Only the King’s late mother was more respected. Trump desperately wishes for that respect, but the world laughs at him
And so Trump and his cult lash out in anger and silliness.
JB Comments:
I have a friend who absolutely adores Trump and thinks he can do no wrong and naturally, even the men in white suits are afraid to come close in case the insanity rubs off. ha ha.
We talk about what Trump is up to and he can see no wrong, telling me that he is re setting the global economy to a base rate and not the over inflated rate it currently is at, and I cannot get through to him that what he is doing is putting the world into a massive recession that will starve people of jobs, income, food, and general lifestyle as tariffs add to consumer spending HUGELY but where people are being ' laid off' and made redundant BY THE THOUSANDS - BECAUSE of the tariffs and how - exactly - is that good for the economy , especially when hundreds of thousands - possibly millions of people, TENS OF MILIONS AND EVEN MAYBE BILLIONS OF PEOPLE, will SUFFER because of this mans unfetterd financial wrecking ball. And when I ask what trump has ever done that has ever made money - like the casino he bankrupted and every single business since has lost money - HOW is this good for the economy, global trade and us as individuals.
He just says to wait and see - so clearly - he has no answer.
So he sleeps under his Trump bed cover, with his MAGA hat on and a life size cut out ( and it's huge ) of Trump himself next to his bed, and I despair. Luckily, we laugh between us and he knows how I feel and like so many Americans, there is something - how, Trump gets into peoples heads and no amount of common sense can change their view.
What astounds me, he is avery intelligent man in his 50's and yet, I just cannot fathom this part of him out at all. But then, millions voted for Hitler once upon a time.
Maybe I am the one that is wrong. Maybe I am missing something here,. Global economies falling apart and big corporations closing factories and putting people out of work - however, tells me , I am right. Trump is a global danger to us all.
