In 1970, I was 15 years of age.

The gay scene was really in its infancy, only being legalised in 1967.

Gay magazines were hard to find and came wrapped in clear plastic so you could only see the cover.

And they were hard to find and expensive.

I was working as a commis chef in a large hotel here in Bournemouth.

My take home pay was £4.80 a week.

One afternoon on a break between lunch and dinners, I was walking through the town and came upon a book store that had a rack of male picture magazines.

I was mesmerized.

I was shaking with excitement.

My mouth was dry.

My dick was so hard in my pants I thought I would run out of blood for the rest of the body.

I nervously - with hands shaking, looked through those on display and eventually decided on one, and it was £2.50 - so more than half my weeks wages.

But I had to have it.

This was the first time I had ever seen a mans naked picture and I was so excited I was so nervous someone would see me

But I had to have it.

The man on the cover, was the one in the picture above, on the right - and he was , when I got it home and looked through the magazine, the centre fold model with several pages just on him.

I was thrilled.

He was exactly my type.

Not that I knew what my type was for I was a virgin.

But I knew this was for me.

I recently found this picture and it took me back more than 50 years and suddenly I was that naïve innocent youth again, completely innocent and full of raging hormones, wanking off 5 and 6 times a day to this mans pictures and gagging to know and experience so much more.

At 16 years of age I met a man who was 42, who looked a lot like this guy above and we became lovers and lived and worked together for the next 8 years- in Guernsey where he bought a hotel and I helped him run it. I learned what the word gay meant - and he helped me grow up and to accept who and what I was ( you mean - perfect ...?) and I do look back on that youth - that lad who was so turned on by this mans pictures, and now more than 50 years later realise he has been long dead, both the man and the youth as I am so much older and wiser and sexually mature, in fact - a 'Sexual Guru' teaching sexuality in workshops, and I do wonder how someone so naïve and innocent turns into the person I grew into, but then, we all do. We all grow up. We all learn and we all change and accept who we are and sometimes, a picture or a piece of music or even a smell, can take us back decades and - OMG - it seems the decades have not existed and I do wonder where I have been throughout all those years.

At nearly 70 - I do thank the universe for this man and for the thrills and the many wanks I had over his pictures. Back in the 70's and even today, he is very my type.
