On our web site it makes it perfectly clear.

On your Reservation Receipt e mail, sent after you have made a reservation, it makes is VERY clear.

Even on our front door it makes it clear.

ARRIVALS - BEFORE 1pm - and then BETWEEN 5 - 8pm

NOT IN THE AFTERNOONS.

and yet time after time people disturb me in my private time, when I am sometimes taking a much needed afternoon nap, or catching up on DIY and home maintenance - or sorting out the garden or fridges or even - I might not be here as I might be shopping, walking the dog,- you know - having some private time - and guess what :- the door bell rings and customers have completely ignored what was said even after - on occasions - I even told them on the phone our arrival times and yet STILL they arrive in the middle of the afternoon and this does irritate, especially when as today, one guy argued with me that I was wrong as it was arrivals between 3 - 5pm and he would NOT listen to reason and insisted he was right, as if after 25 fucking years I do not know my own business and times. He actually tried telling me I was wrong and gave me attitude. He got charged.

WHAT IS IT WITH SOME PEOPLE they totally disrespect me and my venue and assume they can arrive when they like and completely ignore my arrival times.

There is no way in hell they would offer this level of disrespect to a larger venue, but because we are ' family ' - being a gay venue, people assume they can do what they like and to put it simply, I am now - after nearly 25 years here - going to make a charge every time someone arrives and disturbs my ' off time' with their thoughtlessness.

So between £15 and £25 WILL BE CHARGED TO YOUR CARD if you arrive outside of our arrival times.

This goes to the staff member who gets disturbed on their time off.

IF YOU AT LEAST ASK IF YOU CAN ARRIVE OUTSIDE OF THESE TIMES, and if convenient, no problem at all, but if late at night and you have not phoned to ' keep us in the loop' as to your estimated arrival time, or that you are stuck in traffic or the train is running late - no problem at all I will wait all night and no charge, but if you just expect to arrive late and not keep us informed - we charge £50 per hour / or part of after 10pm .

( Somebody arrived one night at 2am - waking the whole hotel up ringing and ringing the bell and then was noisy when he came in and while I shut him down straight away with a severe telling off for his thoughtlessness and his noise - and where he never once apologised and just kept making silly excuses, he was billed £50 because after that, I am now wide awake and pissed off and cannot get back to sleep and my whole next day is fucked.

If we know you are going to be late - again - ABSOLUTELY NO PROBLEM AND NO CHARGE, so just keep us in the loop.

After dinner I like to feel that I can relax and unwind with guests or just on my own watching TV or have local friends in and watch a movie together without having to wait around for someone who has not turned up yet and - if I try and phone and get no answer - and as has happened midnight or later they show up, I really do consider that rude - not at least to phone and just keep us in the loop.

So please : PAY ATTENTION - DO NOT DISTURB US WHEN WE ARE OFF DUTY - AND OFFER A LEVEL OF PROFESSIONAL RESPECT AS YOU WOULD EXPECT TO BE RESPECTED IN RETURN.
