Richard Chamberlain, the hero of the 1960s television series Dr Kildare who found a second career as an award-winning “king of the miniseries,” has died. He was 90.
Chamberlain died on Saturday night in Waimānalo, Hawaii of complications after a stroke, according to his publicist, Harlan Boll.

President Donald Trump left observers baffled this week when he suggested in a late-night Truth Social rant that his tariffs on Canadian goods would include taxes on illegal drugs. ??????
Today’s Trump tariffs are based on insane lies that only a moron could believe. He says is putting a 20% tariff on EU goods because the EU has a 39% tariff on US goods.
That is complete horseshit.
The average EU tariff on US goods is more like 3.9%, not 39%.
All his numbers on all the other tariffs from all countries are like that. To somehow justify starting a trade war with everyone, he is pretending that everyone already has these massive tariffs against the US. It is complete fantasy.
Trump lies come in three sizes.
General Bullshitting Lies. Like “Ivanka Trump has created 15 million jobs”. These are just the dumb lies from the bullshitter at the end of the bar. The kind of lies that are just dumb, that have you eye-rolling and saying “Oh yeah, sure, Donald”. These lies are just so dumb they make you laugh.
Spiralling Exaggeration Lies. These lies start off with something specific, but then spiral out of control with each telling until the numbers are so ludicrous nobody could ever believe them. “$300 billion to Ukraine” - nope, it’s $115 billion so far, and most of that was spent in the US on old stock.
One of the more embarrassing example was when he said Biden’s continually rising job creation numbers were mostly going to immigrants. He kept increasing the percentage of Biden’s monthly rising new jobs going to immigrants until one day… he actually said it was 100%.
And then he said it was ”substantially more than that”.

Absolutely Batshit Insane Lies. Like just before the 2020 midterm elections when he said he personally spoke to Japanese Prime Minister, Shinzo Abe and got him to agree to Japan opening 5 new car plants in Michigan. The conversation never happened, Japan never had any plans to open any new car plants in Michigan. Not five. Not one. It was just a batshit insane lie he pulled out of his ass.
These lies he is telling about the tariffs other countries are currently applying to US imports are in the third category. These numbers are Absolutely Batshit Insane Lies
What do you think of Trump telling reporters that "we’re respected as a country again. I was with some very important people and they said that they’ve never seen a turnaround of a country as fast as this" ?
When Trump makes a claim like this, the follow-up question should be: Who?
“I was with some important people, and they said they’ve never seen a turnaround… as fast as this” Who? Name just one of these people please?
“Many, many people are telling me…” Who? With so many people “telling you”, surely you can name one for our follow-up?
“My experts say…” Who?
“People are saying I should run again…” Who? Who is advocating the Constitution be suspended.
Trump makes this claim all the time, suggesting his opinion is shared by experts, professionals, or the majority. He does it to lend credibility to his claims without providing proof. The truth is, he’s just making shit up.
If someone were to ask him to name just one, his claim would collapse like those of a cheap used car salesman.
Here we have a nation whose President told its people during a global pandemic to drink bleach and inject disinfectant to help cure Covid - and here he is claiming Denmark doesn't do enough for its people when he allowed THOUSANDS to die of Covid through his utter and complete contempt for the truth. The audacity of this Republical Government in the USA, the gaul, the cheek, the fucking nerve of them telling such lies and demeaning others when the lowest of low - is themselves.
