BAN THE BURQA

The burqa is worn by women in various countries. Some countries have banned it in government offices, schools, or in public places and streets.

There are currently 16 states that have banned the burqa and niqab, both Muslim-majority countries and non-Muslim countries, including Tunisia, Austria, Denmark, France, Belgium, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Bulgaria, Cameroon, Chad, the Republic of the Congo, Gabon, the Netherlands, China, Morocco, Sri Lanka and Switzerland.

National Security :- We have face recognition technology that helps in the fight against terrorism and yet here we have these people totally hidden and where we can see NOTHING at all, and this is a security risk and MUST be banned.

I got told to take my hoodie off when in a bar recently as the cameras could not see my face - and yet Muslim women are totally covered in this fashion and get away with total coverage and it could be a man or a women under there.

BAN RELIGIOUS SERVICED BLOCKING STREETS

I absolutely do not care who you worship and what God you pray to as long as it is non violent and allows every religion to be celebrated equally. If any one religion tries to dominate and persecute then that is NOT A RELIGION - THAT IS BRAIN WASHING - THAT IS THE EVIL - and THAT is to be banned. Any form of indoctrination or - to put it another way - GROOMING OF INNOCENT AND OFTEN IGNORANT MINDS - especially in the manner Muslims seem to assume we are just low lives because we are not Muslim and therefore to be - as it says above - ELIMINATED - and that is HITLER SPEAK. THAT is murderous talk. That is the evil as to even think such a thing is not of Allah - not of God and not of any God come to that - THAT - is the voice of an evil living man who wants his belief structure to take over the planet and murder anyone that does not follow.

Republican who supported “Don’t Say Gay” law sues Pride parade for barring his participation

Former reality TV performer-turned-Florida state Rep. Fabián Basabe (R) is threatening to sue Miami Beach Pride if they don’t allow him to ride in their annual parade, which will be held on April 14. When Basabe rode in last year’s parade, attendees booed and heckled him over his support of Florida’s “Don’t Say Gay” law and a statewide drag ban.

When Basabe tried to reserve a space in this year’s parade, organizers forbade him from participating. Basabe’s lawsuit accuses parade organizers of violating his First Amendment rights to free speech, but organizers say they can legally decide who to include in their parade and claimed they declined Basabe’s reservation out of security concerns. Supreme Court precedent seems to side with the parade organizers.

They were some of the most extreme laws proposed this year.

“We can’t risk having you in the parade this year,” Bruce Horwich, chairman of the nonprofit organization behind the parade, told Basabe in a March 16 text message, according to The Miami Herald. “Last year you had to be surrounded by police officers in riot gear as well as had several more plain clothes officers surrounding your vehicle.

“We have had Republicans, Democrats, and Independent parties in our parade and festival in the past and welcome all political views unless they are planning or have shown from the past that they are a security risk,” Horwich added. “Our bylaws clearly state that we can’t have participants that put themselves or other participants at risk or antagonize our guests.”

Basabe responded, writing, “You have no right to exclude me, not as an individual nor as an elected official, nor may you attempt to set me up again with a bogus ‘public safety claim.’ I have always attended this parade peacefully.” He also accused organizers of allowing “extremist” protesters “to agitate the crowds and incite violence against me for political purposes” during last year’s parade.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) dropped out of the presidential primary after running on his record of demonizing the LGBTQ+ community and fighting against “woke” diversity efforts. Now, like DeSantis’ failed campaign, his anti-LGBTQ+ efforts are going down in flames.

21 of the nation’s most vicious bills proposed this year have died after the Florida legislature adjourned for the session. Only one bill that targeted the queer community was passed.

“Looking for a good book? Try one some Florida students aren’t allowed to read.”

Proposed laws that would have expanded the state’s “Don’t Say Gay” law from the classroom into the workplace failed, as did another that would have banned Pride flags from schools and government buildings. Another bill would have required transgender people’s driver’s licenses to show their sex assigned at birth. A fourth would have made it “defamation” to describe someone as homophobic or transphobic.

The lone bill that passed this year prohibits teachers from being educated on diversity topics and bans “teaching identity politics.”

Signed into law by DeSantis (R) in 2022, the “Don’t Say Gay” law initially banned classroom instruction on sexuality and gender identity in grades K–3 but was expanded to ban instruction on those topics in all grades. A settlement announced yesterday clarifies vague language in the law that is similar to the language in the one passed this year.

The law sparked DeSantis’s campaign against the LGBTQ+ community and “woke” businesses, including his notorious ongoing battle with Disney.

Last week, a federal appeals court ruled unanimously that Florida can’t enforce its new “Stop WOKE Act.” One of Gov. Ron DeSantis‘ (R) most hyped laws, it prohibits businesses from requiring employees to attend mandatory diversity and inclusion training.

During his failed presidential bid, DeSantis hyped the “Stop WOKE Act” on the campaign trail.

“Despite years of relentless attacks and dehumanizing rhetoric, LGBTQ+ people and our allies have never given up the fight for Florida. And we are shifting the momentum,” Human Rights Campaign spokesperson Geoff Wetrosky said. “The fight to free Florida from the grip of Governor DeSantis’ devastating and extreme agenda of government censorship and intrusion into people’s lives is far from over. And the devastation he and his allies have caused will last long after these politicians are gone. But the tide is turning. Perhaps the anti-LGBTQ+ fever in Tallahassee is beginning to break. The people will prevail.”
