Now we're not allowed to say 'mum' and 'dad'!

Now we're not allowed to say 'mum' and 'dad'! Fury as councils are ordered to BAN 'offensive' traditional terms and replace them with woke phrases like 'birthing partner'

A language guide tells councils to use 'birthing parent' instead of 'mum and dad'

The Inclusive Language Guide was issued by the Local Government Association

It informs hundreds of councils about what language they can and cannot use

'Expat', 'second generation', 'economic migrant' and 'homeless' are also banned

A new language guide from the Local Government Association instructs councils not to call parents 'mother' or 'father' but 'birthing parent'.

Other banned terms include 'expat', 'second generation', 'economic migrant', 'homeless' and 'lifestyle choice'.

The document was sent to local authorities in an email from Mark Lloyd OBE, chief executive of the Local Government Association,The Inclusive Language Guide runs 18 pages long and bans the use of the terms 'disabled' or 'able-bodied' staff.

The guide endeavours to instruct council chiefs on the role of language in 'embedding equality, equity, diversity, and inclusion.

It stated that employee's personal background should only be referred to 'when it is relevant, necessary or led by the person'.

'Experiences of trauma, racial trauma and exclusion are already experienced at disproportionately higher rates by LGBTQ+, black and neurodivergent people in the workplace',

The guide also suggests substituting 'welcome ladies and gentleman' with 'welcome everyone' in public talks.

It stated: 'People who are not "ladies" or "gentleman" may recognise the difference, feel included and that they belong.'

A senior council source described the document as 'woke' and patronising'.

They said: 'Local government workers are in it to make people’s lives better, and treat everyone with dignity and respect.'

The Local Government Association told The Sun: 'Councils are committed to ensuring that everyone is treated with dignity and respect.

'This guide is designed to help councils ensure everyone is supported and respected when they look to their local public services for help.'

John Bellamy Responds

I have rarely read such a load of crap.

Quote: embedding equality, equity, diversity, and inclusion.

This DOES NOT treat everyone with dignity, equality and inclusion at all, as it is designed to confuse, designed NOT to include as we cannot possibly know all the Mr. Mrs. It. She. They, and all the political correctness GONE MAD - so people will be left out whereas the old way, everyone knew exactly where they stood and no one felt left out and if hey did ... that was their choice and we forget,

IT IS A CHOICE TO FEEL LEFT OUT WHEN YOU KNOW IT WAS NOT MEANT

AND YOU HAVE THEN CHOSEN TO TAKE OFFENSE.

Quote: - Councils are committed to ensuring that everyone is treated with dignity and respect.

What utter garbage. Councils are rude - patronising and somewhat discourteous and every single time I have had cause to phone the council I get rude service, patronising attitude and sometimes down right ignorance and lies - blatant lies - and SO MUCH for treating everyone with respect.

I really don't think I have to rag on about the stupidity and the manner in which we are expected to adhere to these - BLATANTLY STUPID - guidelines of language from some idiot being paid far to much to do something as dumb and as dangerous as this is. It opens up avenues of complaint from anyone and everyone that their title has been addressed incorrectly when Ladies and Gentlemen should do, and if you feel un- included - TOUGH SHIT. Grow the fuck up and get over yourself.

Birthing Parents - What a clinical and cold expression, almost automatic and machine like. Not very intimate loving and supportive at all but cold and cheerless. Can you imagine at infant school asking a child who it's birthing parents are ? Not Mother and Father.

WTF is a neurodivergent person ?

I looked it up in Google -

What characterizes neurodivergent people?

a lack of babbling or pointing by the age of 12 months.

poor eye contact.

no single words by the age of 16 months.

no two-word phrases by the age of 2 years.

no smiling or social responsiveness.

not responding to their name.

So are we now to include Down Syndrome, Autism

This maddening WOKE environment we are moving into is dumb. It does NOT include everyone and in fact it will NOT include everyone. In the USA if you go into a shop and the server greets you with ' Hi Guys' - it is understood to mean men and women, everyone, and it only takes one dumb bitch to say - 'what about me , I am a gall not a guy' to make you want to scream as everyone understands and just making a scene and demanding your own Mr. Miss. Lady. It - is just attention seeking. BLATANT ATTENTION SEEKING.

AND THAT IS SO BORING... YAWN.
