We are a campground and retreat center located in the High Desert near Joshua Tree National Park in Southern California.
Starland is not connected to Hamilton Hall in any way and this is just a FREE PROMOTION for them as I was surfing the web and came accross it and loved what I saw.
Our facility provides tent camping, private cabins, and wet and dry RV sites.
What sets us apart from other camping and retreat centers is that we openly welcome
those who might be or are sexually fluid and/or LGBT+, and those who might just need
a place to come where you can relax, be yourself, and leave your worries behind.
Starland was formed in 1997 by a group of like-minded men who wished to create an Intentional Community that would be open to ALL groups of individuals regardless of their sexual orientation, socio-economic status, gender-identity, education level or life-experience. With roots within the Radical Faerie movement, Starland was born as buildings, cabins and RV sites were soon erected, and workshops and events started to take place to bring in more people to share the communal experience.
Starland gets its name because it is in the center of a designated International Dark-Sky territory and the nightly views of the Milky Way, planets and stars are absolutely spectacular!
Nowadays, Starland has grown to host a bevy of groups and gatherings including CMEN Massage Exchange Weeks and many others.
Like Hamilton Hall, judging from the pictures, it attracts a more mature man and not many twinks. So, a safe space for us 'older oldies' to feel secure with our Dad Bods.

Starland is an ALL-VOLUNTEER run campground and retreat center! After visiting Starland, many guys have had such a magical experience that they become one of our many active volunteers to make Starland even MORE fabulous! You can be one of them!
Throughout the year, we have ‘Work and Play’ Weeks/Weekends where Starland provides free accommodations along with free food and loads of fun if you want to help us with our projects! We often have massage exchange sessions several times during the week and weekends. We place volunteers in our best cabins and rooms so that everyone is comfortable. Generally there is no ‘hard labor’ projects but you can judge your abilities and match them to volunteer needs.
Our coordinator always has loads of small projects on top of the large projects that we have completed during these Work and Play Weeks.

Do share your experience with us here and let's share the journey. I have always tried to involve other venues that appeal to me - through this site - and this helps get the word out there and help us all ' pull together' as one family of naturist friendly men - be you straight, gay, bi. trans.
Men will be men and men need their own space sometimes - away from women and children, to be men.
Hamilton Hall celebrated 25 years in business this coming March 30th 2025 and as a MEN ONLY - CLOTHING OPTIONAL venue, we have hosted hundreds of events, workshops, seminars, retreats, as well as offering delightful B&B with dinner ( optional ) and have welcomed guests from all around the world, and even just this morning, I got an e mail from Hawaii - Australia and France. The internet helps us get seen and sharing information about out fellow ' campmates' helps us all.
