The summer sun makes the juices flow and the sap rise
It never stopped raining. day after day, rain rain rain. Everyone said it would bring on an earth quake as this was San Francisco in December and it rained and rained and rained. We got fed up with the constant rain and got a house sitter in for a couple of months and went down to Acapulco where my lover had an apartment on the beach.
The weather on arrival in late December was 92' F and it was hot and dry - PERFECT.
Every week there would be new people around the pool for while it was a private apartment building, most the flats were rented out as holiday lets and we would guess who was gay and make friends and show them the town, the best places to go and eat and so forth and as the weeks passed, and the sun tan got deeper, it was such a joy to miss all the rain.
We didn't return home until after my 30th birthday which was celebrated in Acapulco and after Easter - when the rain had stopped and California was back to its normal weather and - no earth quake - well not at that time anyway - and we returned with such good memories of lounging in the sun all winter while others were frozen in snow.
