Why does no one seem to be stopping Trump from usurping the US from within?
I have had the odd e mail over the years asking why I use this platform to put political stuff on, and my answer is quite simple, why not ?

I put an assortment of items on here that amuse, educate, and inform, whether it be LGBT news, political, humorous, or whatever I find or think to share with you. Things that interest me. If YOU want something different and you do not offer anything, and you do not use your voice or even start your own newsletter - then tough shit.
It absolutely and positively is as simple as that.
If you don't like something , THEN TURN THE PAGE and stop complaining. Like anything else, there is always an OFF BUTTON and you are quite able to use it and I MOST CERTAINLY will not be offended, in fact, I won't even know or care.
This piece below I found ' on line' somewhere and thought it worthy to share as many - quite simply - do not get what is going on and how dangerous the world is becoming and how we may be the last generation to have lived war free. This may be American politics, but when you look at the mess we in the UK are in under Labour - and not to forget the mess the Conservatives left us in,- we really do need help not to follow down the American path.

That’s an excellent question, and has a fairly simple and straightforward answer (that I’m sure will send many of the maga faithful into a frenzy ):
The people who hold the power to put trump in check and keep him there are helping him dismantle our self-government a piece at a time.
Trump told us this is what he intended to do, given the chance. The only people who didn’t hear him saying it were people who rely on far-right media who lie for a living. Whenever these same people are challenged to provide something of substance to back up their bullshit excuses for defending trump, or accusing the “mainstream media” of bias toward trump, they NEVER come thru. They ALWAYS go quiet, or go dark.
Or they start yammering on, engaging in whataboutism due to their inability to make a rational comparison or they start hurling insults because in MAGA world that’s what passes for “intelligent debate and discourse”. Whoever can shout the loudest or come up with the wittiest insult wins.
Do not expect a Republican politician to EVER step up and hold these pricks accountable. Don’t expect a Republican to stand up and say, “This is bullshit, and it needs to stop.” IT WILL NOT HAPPEN. At least not until actual Republicans actually take back control of their party and send the lunatics, conspiracy theorists and tin-foil hat wearing crowd back into the dusty and distant corners where they belong. The abomination passing itself off as the Republican Party is a Fascist, extremist cult beholden to donald trump, and ONLY donald trump. Their media arms are brainwashing poorly educated and dangerously misinformed Americans into not only believing trump is working for them, but also into following trump’s orders should he encourage them to turn on their own neighbors for daring to disagree with them, or challenge their extremely distorted and delusional beliefs.
Why do you think trump wanted guys like Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk in his corner? It sure as shit isn’t because he has any regard or respect for our Constitution, for the truth.
Trump has them in his pocket because they control the means by which far too many people, especially younger people OF MILITARY AGE get their “news”.
If trump controls the owners of the biggest social media platforms, he controls what the users of those platforms hear. He’s controlled Fox News, Newsmax, One America News and too many influencers and other extremists on the Internet to mention for an entire fucking DECADE.
I wish I could tell you that everything is gonna be alright, that there’s no way this shit can’t lead to an actual outbreak of violence and a very real civil war. But if I told you that, I’d be lying, and it would also be an incredibly irresponsible thing to do.
To those of you who still refuse to see trump and the extremely wealthy people around him for who and what they are, as if they see you and hear you and give a shit about you NOW THAT THEY HAVE YOUR VOTE….this shit is ALL YOUR FUCKING FAULT. You couldn’t be bothered to look at trump with the same skepticism you look at literally everything else with, couldn’t bother to maybe check if even a couple of the wildly delusional things he told you were true (like Haitians eating cats and dogs in Ohio, you fucking RETARDS). You heard what you wanted to hear, you saw what you wanted to see, and thanks to your lazy, irresponsible asses, ALL of our asses are in a sling. Including YOURS, YOUR KIDS, YOUR GRANDKIDS, AND EVERYONE ELSE YOU PRETEND TO GIVE A SHIT ABOUT.
When the day comes that you’re terrified to speak your mind because these motherfuckers might show up at YOUR front door in the middle of the night, don’t say you weren’t warned. And don’t expect people like me to rush to your defense. I’ve been trying to defend you for the last ten fucking years and all you did was talk out of your asses and ignore it. So now, you’re on your fuckin’ own.

She wrote a book if you might want to read it. Trump was a difficult child, emotional and ill tempered, he was sent to military school for being undisciplined, did poorly in school, avoided the draft with a doctors note for bone spurs, screwed his mom and family out of money that was rightfully theirs upon his dad's death.
He had a rough/strained relationship with his dad, but he learned the business working with him. He has been in court almost 4200 times, exercised racism, did not pay workers, lied on taxes, broke laws, hired illegal immigrants, filed about 7 bankruptcies etc. etc etc.. His mom wrote in her memoir that Donald had no empathy, and she asked, "have I created a monster?".
He is a hustler and con artist. Trump University for which he was sued is an example.
Donald does not speak of his mother, just his dad, who if alive today would be in disbelief at how many bad business decisions and dealings Trump has made in his life. It is the reason he does not have liquid cash to pay off the millions he owes for the two cases he lost for sexual abuse and fraud. One recent work example is his DJT- stock we were warned was doomed due to over valuation. And it has gone From 79 a share to 12 and change.
He lied to us on so many levels to pump up his Truth Social platform that was declining in the value, number of users etc To answer you, his mom saw his greed, his contempt for groups, his willingness to do anything necessary to get ahead at anyone's expense. She was a woman who saw in her son everything she was not. A man with no regards for anyone but himself.
Many years ago I was so disturbed and sad when I heard a news story about one of his business ventures. Trump had a blueprint of retirement homes he was going to build in Fla, and he was selling them to people interested before being built. It wAs to be a community with everything you could think of in a pretty secluded area. The story was of one lady who met with Trump's daughter Ivanka who sold her a unit. The lady paid 200 thousand and something, her life savings. Very shortly after that Trump filed bankruptcy. This woman was left broke and devastated.
That is what I recall, although I may be off on dates, times etc. it was probably 25 years ago. Trump has followed this pattern of behavior to this day. He deceives us for his own gain. He is a malignant narcissist incapable of seeing the world from anyone's viewpoint than his own. Therefore what he thinks is correct 100% of what he does.
If it turns out a disaster, he will not be able fault. He will blame everything and everyone else . And anyone who does not agree is his stupid enemy that he will retaliate against.
He is more aggressive, more angry, more threatening, more non sensible, and more anxious to strike with a vengeance. His behavior is is a serious matter.

I actually had an e mail this week from a man in the USA asking why the UK copies the USA by having red, white and blue in its flag, and I truly despair. I answered and told him that our red white and blue is older than his country - MUCH OLDER, and that I suggested he check out the flags of the world and see how many NON AMERICAN countries have red white and blue on them and have had longer than the USA has been in existence. I also suggested that the USA does NOT OWN THE WORLD but a very small part of it, and they do NOT rule supreme with their constitution over other nations laws. John Bellamy
